Requirement for your local Internet (LAN)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

No live stream is possible without internet. Ideally, we stream via a local, wired Internet connection of your company, hotel or event location.<\/p>\n

We need access to an Internet socket with the so-called RJ45 connector. This can must be no further than 40 meters from the actual location of the planned recording. If necessary, you have to lay a longer cable to the location of the control room. WiFi-is not an option unfortunately and can not be used by us.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The faster the Internet line, the higher quality we can transmit. We recommend an upload speed of at least 20 mbit\/s, better even more. You can test this by typing “Speedtest” into Google and running the following test. (The second number – the “upstream” – is the relevant number).<\/p>\n

If there is no local wired Internet, we will have to work over an LTE connection. We check whether the LTE networks are available and fast enough on site with a location checkup : Please select an appointment for a network test here: https:\/\/dev.easylivestream.de\/locationcheckup<\/a><\/p>\n

If a local network is to be used on site, the following must be observed by the location IT (please forward the link to this FAQ to the location IT department):<\/strong><\/h4>\n

>> Our technology requires the establishment of its own WLAN access point. This is connected to the existing LAN network via a patch cable. This must not
\nbe technically blocked.<\/p>\n

>> The network must not be locked via login portals, because our router cannot “fill” them. We need direct access to the network.<\/p>\n

>> Internal network firewalls can prevent traffic or the connection of external hardware. It is important that a technician is on site during the network test who is familiar with the local conditions.
\ninstallation of the network knows and has access to the configuration, if necessary.<\/p>\n

>> If the local LAN uses whitelisting, the Mac addresses of our WLAN access point (the “WAN ports”) must be included in the whitelisting. Please ask
\nthese in advance with us.<\/p>\n

>> The firewall must not apply content filters and, in particular, must not block Twitter\/Periscope, Facebook, YouTube or “social media” pages in general.<\/p>\n

Tests:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

>> Whether the network blocks with the help of “Deep packet inspection” (usually not) can be tested with the free mobile app “Air:Mix Solo”. Simply send a test image to any RTMP server. Alternatively
\na live stream can be started using the YouTube or Facebook app to a test page.<\/p>\n
